Nice job Mona! Hopefully we can get more to post their photos! It was so easy, once you figured out what to do! I have a couple of photos of Barranquilla for Elmo.

The photos do make you want to see the rest of the country, if you haven't ventured out much. Such diverse pictures. Many look like they could've been taken in Hawaii (before it became overdeveloped)! :-)

Not that I would have expected anything different : )

I think some of the photos posted are professional quality...saltador, lee, enui and a couple others are as good as any I have seen anywhere.

I just noticed something about the photo pool. When I logged out from my flickr account and looked at the group, about 100 pics did not show.

It seems that many people have the privacy setting for their photos set to either Private or "Friends and Family Only". While these are viewable by the members of the group, other PBHers without flickr accounts will not see those pics. Depending on how we do the voting, you could miss out on votes.

While I would not suggest changing your privacy settings on your entire account, you may want to change the settings for the individual photos you have submitted for the contests. You can do this by going to the page for a given photo and look at the bottom right of the page. You will see your privacy settings. If it does not say "This photo is public", click the Edit link next to it and set it to public.

I agree with you; what happened is that when I registered my flickr account it automatically registered my existing yahoo identity.

It would be nice if we could look at all the pictures in each sub category, i.e. have all the "People" pics grouped together, all the "Architecture", etc.

Some of your pics are not showing up in the category search pages because they are not tagged correctly. I put an FAQ link in the discussion on the group page.

Also, I noticed that some people have lots of one type of photo, so I think it would be OK to be a little lax when it comes to the three per category rule. There are 11 categories and each member is limited to posting 33 photos to the group. This is an informal contest so I don't think we need to be too strict.

Its very interesting to see that in most categories there are photos from different people depicting the same locations but from different positions and at different times. Great photos so far everyone, have had a lot of fun checking them out and remembering my times at these places.
