Passport needed for San Andres?

I'm planning a trip to San Andres with my novia de cartagena. Does she need a passport to get there? Or will her cedula and an old fat bald gringo with cowboy hat, belt buckle and boots be suficiente?

san andres is colombian no passport for her if she is colombian. it is like a US citizen flying to hawaii.

just curious, you guys getting married?

Saltador says on Mar 27, 2007, 11:23:

Not yet... I've asked her to, but she's not sure if she could stay away from her real (colombiano) boyfriend for an extended period of time or not.
But seriously, are you 100% on that passport thing? It makes sense, but I keep hearing different opinions. I don't want to assume that then find out the day of the trip that I was wrong.

No passport needed for Colombians, it's the same country.

Yes, Straight from Cartagena to San Andres. Going to avoid the bogota connection if at all possible.

Black Crab When in San Andreas check out the blow hole. There are two dudes there that run a little restaurant. Their wives cook the best Black crab I've ever eaten. The lobsters are great too. Don't look over the hole with your hat/sunglasses on. They will be blown away.

I've been there once and have seen the blowhole... kind of reminded me of a few "Poor But Happy" regulars...

Train ride There is a train ride that is really a pick up truck pulling a wagon disguised as a train. Take the trip and check out the feeding of the fish on the west side of the island. Your chick will go wild. The train also stops at the blow hole but does not stay there long enough to crab it up.

Johnny Key is a must (day trip) - get ready to snorkle. And stock up on cheap duty free booze and biscuits. Don't stay longer than 5 days and be ready to deal with the most english speaking people per capita in all of CO. JMHO

That's because English is their native language (the real locals). Of course they would never speak English candidly until assured that my wife could not understand a word they were saying.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
