Passport filled with exit and entry stamps

My passport is completely filled up with exit and entry stamps. I know the procedure to get a supplemental attachment. My question is can I get away with them stamping ontop of stamps for a while? On multiple occasions they have stamped ontop of another stamp. I would like to procrastinate this one as long as possible. Any experience?

last year I got to where my passport was full it became an issue in ecuador, I was told on leaving quito that I needed more pages to reenter. colombia let me back in by stamping on a partially unstamped corner, but the das guy didn't seem too happy. it's worth it to get more pages, it doesn't cost anything but your time and the line in immigration feels less stressfull

My passport was almost full also. I went to Bogota to the US embassy and they added more pages to my passport. I dropped my passport off in the morning when they opened and picked it up around 3 PM the same day. There is no charge in Bogota
