Partying the night away at Club 6L6-Usaquen Bogota

First of all, I hate the fact that I did not bring my camera. Lucky enough these days, there is no shortage of digital cameras, roaming around. This night was no exception. Thank you Margarita, for providing the pics to Natalia from last night.

We have some friends over from the U.S. and they wanted to experience some of Bogota's nightlife. I know, there are too many things on the to do list. One thing is certain, the nightlife certainly cranks, and it is just a matter of where we wanted to party.

continue............. for more excerpts, pics and video of this event. Check us out at:

Hello Freddy,

Thanks for the travel info. Nice fotos.

I gather you now live premantly in Bogota? but went to school in the US?

What do think about these Bogota clubs:

Zona T: Alma, Aura
Parque93: El Sitio, Salto del Angel?

Which Bogota Beer Company is best, there must be about 7 or 8 in Bogota now.

Sorry for the late reply. Normally, I don't get to back track any of my posts. But, to answer your questions. Yes, I now live in Bogota permanently, and I did go to school in the U.S. I have never been to Aura, so I can't say any personal experiences. I have been invited on a couple of occassion, but my wife and I didn't make it. But, Alma is a great place to enjoy the company of friends. I like the lounge area, but you need to come early, otherwise, you might be outside for a long time. My recommendation is to go and call ahead, if you are sure, you will be there at a certain time and date. The last time we were there, my wife's friends, have reserved a table for us, so it was no big deal. It is expensive ! But, it goes with the area, at the same time. When I first moved to Bogota, it was certainly a place that I like to go and frequent, but I am more inclined to party where I live ( Santa Barbara ) and Usaquen, as it is very close.

As far as El Sitio and Salto del Angel - I like El Sitio a lot. For the ambience of the place, and the music. It also depends, if you are going there with just you and your better half, or with a group of friends. I like this place, if it is just me and my wife. Salto de Angel, is a great place, if you are planning on going with a group of friends, making a dinner-dancing, and not planning on going anywhere after wards. Both places are expensive !

As far as Bogota Beer Company goes. I treat it more, as a happy hour type of place. I know a lot of people, like the place as their main event for the night. It can be, but when we go out, we tend to put the dancing equation into play. As far as locations go, I like the on Avenida 19, Calle 85 and Usaquen. I know a lot of foreigners like the one in 93. I know, this is kinda of a hook up places for gringos in the area. I know I had a lot of clients, that rented rooms or apartment from us, that just loves and raves about this place in 93. To each his own.

Enjoy !

Freddy
