no-one knows anything I've spoken to the Atlanta Tourism and Concention Bureau and the staff of Atlanta's professional soccer team, the Silverbacks.

No one has heard any information regarding a world cup qualifying match taking place in Atlanta.

Either this is the worst promotional effort ever, or somehow the Atlanta location is incorrect.

If anyone can track this down, please let us know.

According to Soccer365.com, "Uruguay will welcome Colombia to Montevideo on 04 September..."

No one said the game was taking place in Atlanta. This game will take place, as you said ... in "Montevideo on 04 September..."

look at original post please. meteoro-

hi there. sorry if i'm being too sensitive to your reply, but, kikiortiz clearly stated in the original post that he thought the game was in atlanta, georgia. so i based my search for the match information beginning with that premise. i saw your advertisement for the satellite service. thanx. good info. i was still trying to find specific location and ticket information. but no thanks for the attitude. (if i misunderstood kiki, and he's saying he lives in atlanta and wants to watch on tv...then my mistake....but no need to come out swinging)

cdyow Dude, you're right... you're way too sensitive. All I wrote was 2 simple sentences. (where do you get 'attitude'?? 'come out swinging'??? where???)

Original post said he wants to watch the game somewhere in atlanta (i.e. in a bar or restaurant that carries the TV signal!). You misinterpreted the post... that's ok, it can happen to anyone. Also, just so you know, an 'Eliminatoria' game (which is an official qualifier for the '06 World Cup) can only take place in one of the 2 countries involved.

Good luck to both of you finding a place to watch the game!

Kiki What you need to do is call 1-800-897-8181 that is the number to dish network 2006 (www.dish2006.com). They will be able to tell you if there are any places broadcasting the game in your area. I actually called out of curiosity and there is nothing confirmed in Atlanta, they go by zip code, so I gave them 30301 and 30320. They said to call back in a week or so.
FYI as for as I can tell they only speak spanish.

Los Recuerdos
This is the best place to go watch the games in Atlanta. It is located by I-85 and Jimmy Carter Blvd in Norcross. Good food and lots of big screen TV's. $15 to get in but you can stay and watch all the games. They ran out of Aguila last time, so everyone was drinking Coronas. Also there are always a group of Churrascos there beating a drum for the celeste, so it ought to be a lot fun this time.
