Park/Restaurants in Cedritos?

What are the best places around Cedritos?

As long as you are that far north I would try Andrés Carne de Res. A restaurant and dancing on Calle 3 # 11A-56 in Chia. Pick a weekend night. Couple of nice malls, Cedritos 151 and the Santafé Shopping Center which is huge on Calle 185 # 45-03 (Autopista del Norte). Drift south toward downtown a little bit to the Zona Rosa around Parque 93 area-loaded with discos, bars and restaurants-upscale area so prices will be higher. Los Acacias is in that area and offers good Colombia dishes on Calle 94 in Santa Barbara.

Also, go to Usaquen. There's a nice little weekend art fair/flea market, great restaurants and a plaza/park for the kids. I'm particularly fond of Tienda del Cafe, right on the square.

Cedritos parks - I think you're only going to find what some people call "pocket parks" that are about the size of a square block, next to busy streets, and very heavily used.

In addition to the restaurants Gator mentioned - Tomaseli (sp?) is a busy, casual restaurant with typical Colombian food right on Calle 140 or 141. I used to really like the parilla that is now called "Bull Rock Grill" but the prices have increased, the quantities have decreased and the service was bad (the only time in Colombia I've ever tipped less than 10-15% was at Bull Rock). There's also a Las Acacias right in Cedritos and along Avenida 19 in that neck of the woods you've got plenty of the gringo favorities - WOK, Archies Pizza, Bogota Beer Company, El Corral, Juan Valdez.

Mr. Hollywood - Agree with you on Tienda del Cafe. If I ever see a guy in there that looks like a movie star with dollar bills falling out of his pockets, I'll stop by and introduce myself.

Edit: Don't miss the Jardin Botanica. Not in Cedritos but worth the trip. Beautiful place and one of the nicest, quietest afternoons I've ever spent in Bogota.
