You just missed it! It was playing at the Tribeca Film Festival last month. One of the best Latin films I've ever seen. It'll probably get a wider release at some point. Otherwise, there's always Netflix, though it could be a while.

I was finally able to watch this movie a couple of nights ago. I really enjoyed it in it's majority but a terrible ending.

However, I just received the 'feminist' perspective of the movie and apparently the portrayal of all women in this movie is of them as 'weak creatures'... any thoughts?

I thought the strongest character was Marlon's dad.
What are you referring to as 'the ending'. I hated how Marlon went to see Reina and all the events that unfolded in this visit. It was too unrealistic and a quick way to end a movie that could have been more powerful.
