Visited Pamplona last week. Not the most beautiful of towns but the people were very friendly and know how to party.
If you do visit make the trip to Pamplonita or even better stay there. Its a lot warmer there is some nice spots on the river to swim and its surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Anyone interested in rock climbing or hiking in the area or in Cocuy contact me and I can organise guides.
Pamplona does have a very nice university though and the population seems to be 80% students.
