Pacific Coast - Choco

I am planning a trip to Colombia and I would like to spend some time on both coasts (pacific and caribbean).
Though I cannot get enough information about spots on the Pacific. Anyone here that could have been there can share any info?
Which would be the best place to go on a backpacker budget? Choco...Nuqui, Bahia Solano, anywhere else? What would be the cheapest way to get there, any suggestions for budget accomodation? How safe would be to go there travelling by oneself?
Thanks a lot!

bahia solano! Hey ferp!
The cheapest way to get to el choco on the pacific side is by boat from Buenaventura. It will take you around 20 hours depending on the weather. To know how ofteh they go there you`d have to ask at the buenaventura harbour.

The nicest places to visit is Bahia Solano. The village there is much nicer then Nuqui. And from there you should definetely go and visit the national park nearby. Right now it seems to be quite safe to go there. There hasn`t been any gerilla atacks lately so I don`t think you should have any problems.

It`s a gorgeous place so if you can go and visit. If you want to do it faster you can also fly there from medellin or from quibdo.

have a great trip,

cessi!

Closer to Buenaventura you could go by boat to Ladrilleros, Juanchaco and La Barra
