My father, who is a retired engineer from Ford, and a German immigrant, would totally disagree with your opinion on the US adopting the German work style. He had a huge problem with trying to do business with people that were on a 5 week doctor ordered vacation for "stress".

If Canadians had 300 million people ... what? "its economy would destroy the US. Like they did in 1812 after burning your original White House." So, if the the burning of the white house destroyed our economy ... then why are we at where we are at? And why were we at, where we were at, say ... 50, 100 years ago, 150 years ago, etc???? I don't know what made you so angry, but your argument is silly. I have no beef with Canadians for the record.

My Auntie owns some motels in an small town in Cordoba, some of them have pools table and a bar, she did a bit of money but she is not rich, the funny thing was that when I went to see her with my husband ages ago, the priest of the town was at her house, having lunch they were really good mates and he didn't care if she owns those places.

her son was 16 at the time, and he was friend with all the ladies of the night, they used spoil him, he grew up to be a really nice guy and went to study engineer in Medellin

My Auntie was or is a very tough lady, and everybody in town respect her one thing was she never owns a car and never bought one for her son, she said a car was a waste of money :S

They still do, but its my belief that the Motel and to a lesser extent the DVD Room (you don't just rent a DVD, you rent the room to watch it in, and sometimes the girl to "watch "it with, or you take your girlfriend) stops a great deal of violence and frustation. Believe me, its real hard to be alone otherwise if you are Korean. They are considered perfectly respectable businesses to have for good Christians.

Canadians under a British flag? Still British! They also had British accents at the time, so they were'nt Canadians as we know them today. And the Brits had the most powerful navy in the world at the time. They were definately more confident.
