There may be an airline with this route, but I would take a shared car. The last time we had an air conditioned Hyundai passenger car, seating four plus the driver, and went from one city to the next in a short time, and very cheaply. It's only 2-3 hours as I recall. They might even pick you up and drop you off at your desired destination. It has been about four years ago. Prices must be a tiny fraction of 530.00 dollars a head.

It might very well be cheaper to buy a package which includes hotel accomodation, (some) meals and the flight. Walk into any travel agency and inquire what offers are on sale. Aerorepública and Avianca (with an 'a') have different deals and you might want to check out the website of Avianca too.

We get good packages through Aviatur (www.aviatur.com). They have offices all over Colombia or you can call their 24hr number at (57-1) 3821616. You can pay with credit/debit card from the US.

Aero Republica is the other carrier but you may need to stop in Bogota on the way. $530 a person round trip sounds way too high? Where did you get that figure? Buying a complete package IN COLOMBIA is a good way to go. If a travel agency in the US gave you that price per person then forget that agency. Click on the Avianca and Aerorepublica websites IN SPANISH and plug in the information and I think you will find $550 for 2 PEOPLE round trip BAQ-ADZ not per person.

That aviatur sounds OK

Areo República has a direct afternoon flight to San Andrés and a late morning direct return. AR Internet price is 1,088,700COP (per person) for May 17-18.

May 30-31, the price is 956,500 COP. It's probably worthwhile checking several dates.

Lovelysanandres, and everyone else, sorry and forget my post. For some reason I had it in my mind that the destination was Santa Marta.
