Existe una teoría bastante interesante (para las mentes frivolas) sobre los colores de la bandera: Francisco Miranda, el Precursor escogió los colores cuando vivia en Londres y y el amarillo era el color del cabello, el azul eran los ojos, y el rojo elcolor de los labios de su amante y concubina inglesa.
