That's good news! I hope the smart producer don't make a novela out of it because we know what's going to happen to it if it gets exported to US.
It more likely that they story get changed, the scenery get changed and the Colombian accents get deleted.

Simon Brand, a Colombiano, also directed Paraiso Travel.

His picture here (first one, on the left):

I took this at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Paraiso Travel.

They said I couldn't play football I was too small / They say I couldn't play basketball I wasn't tall / They say I couldn't play baseball at all / And now everyday of my life I ball.

Hopefully, they won't make a Hollywood version and change the story and somehow make the gringos the heroes. In that case, I suppose they'd bust out the standard non-Colombian Latin actors. I just hope they don't include that fake ass Colombian Leguizamo.

Desi!!!!! Shame on you I am not that "FUGLY" and I refuse to wear turbans, not a good choice, the movie would not make it to the Oscars, also she wears too much makeup, has nails that look like claws, and wears way too much gold, I do not like any of that stuff. I told you before I want to play the servant/maid to Ingrid.

I'm a nature gal.

Elmo'd be perfect as Sarkozy hahahahahaha.

Boy has this thread taken a turn for the loopy. I have to defend my boy Simon. How can you have him playing Ingrid's son? That kid always looks like he's wearing makeup. Maybe one of the girls can get a haircut and they can play him. I'm too damned tall to play any normal Colombian so I'll be the sound guy or something.
