I gather there's an opera house in Bogota. Anyone been/know much about it? Is there a broad range of performances there? Does the national company have much of a reputation internationally? Is there a broad range of performances there?
I'm no buff, but I'm definitely curious.

Bill Turley says on Apr 4, 2008, 14:54: I would really like more complete information also. My son might come for a visit if he had the opportunity to perform. He is a PhD and professor of Opera in the US. He has still never visited here. Mr. Bill Somondoco 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

I thought it was a nice evening out although the 2nd half was better produced. I'd imagine the main problem is having enough money to make a really nice production, not to mention paying top-tier singers to fly down and sing. It's not much of a season, maybe about two periods a year where they show an opera or two over a number of dates. It definitely ain't the Met, lol.
