As I know all of you love Colombia, like maps and are real community people. And you might be disappointed about the Colombia coverage on Google Maps. If so I recommend to have a look at http://www.openstreetmap.org - this is the place where you can find and edit maps, even on Colombia.
"OpenStreetMap is a free editable map of the whole world. It is made by people like you. OpenStreetMap allows you to view, edit and use geographical data in a collaborative way from anywhere on Earth."
So: Take your GPS when you are strolling through your neighborhood and upload your traces to http://www.openstreetmap.org. There is very poor information on cities like Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla yet. If you have a look on Bogotá and Cartagena you will see strong progress.
Here you can see some Cartagena maps:

vicshere says on Aug 17, 2008, 11:41: no I am mapping GSP traces ...I travel the route with the GPS and then map it on Open street maps...with that map you should be able to create a city map for your city..which is not available for sale like in the US
