online resources for renting a room in medellin?

I'm going to be traveling to Medellin soon and am looking for a cheap place to stay for a few months. Anyone know of any sites online or newspapers online? I found one newspaper from Medellin online but didn't see any link to a classifieds section.

Thanks,

Michael

El Colombiano has classifieds. If you are renting a room directly from the owner, I think most official contracts are for 6 months, so be careful what you pick if you want to stay shorter than that.

Try WWW.ELCOLOMBIANO.COM and then try classifieds, then rentals, but you can try www.Turantioquia.com. good luck

Yeah I dunno, I think the utility of on-line classifieds in Medellin depends on what sort of price range you're aiming for. Maybe for the upper end options lessors on-line searching might be helpful, but for the cheaper options I think you're best cruising your neighborhood of choice by foot and looking for the many signs offering rooms.

Thanks everyone.

August--you said just what I was hoping to hear. I have a friend to stay with initially, but i was hoping it would be easy to just find something once i got there. I lived in panama for a while previously and it was easy to find rooms for rent by just going out and about.

Thanks,
