aero republica is again offering a free flight in colombia for 5000 miles.. return.. great deal.. until mid june

Yes, this is true...I just called. However, you have to make the reservation with 21 days in advance or face possible fees. Also, this starts 3/22 to 6/13. 5K to most of Colombia, but 8K to San Andres.

Thanks for the intel gorgonabob!!! I guess I'll use some of my 58K miles to fly inside colombia next month!!!

And you don't have to call AeroRepublica - that's a waste of time - just do it online.

I just cancelled 3x BOG-SMR (at 15,000 miles each) and bought three tickets on the same flights for 5,000 each. (Of course, it helps if you are Platinum and there are no redeposit fees for the miles.)

Then I bought three tickets to Leticia (like San Andres, it's 8,000 miles).

Grand total of 39,000 miles for six roundtrips. A great deal.
