Off Topic?

Why does my thread about Wigan tieing Manchester City get moved to Off Topic? The ONLY reason I am posting it is because of Hugo Rodallega, the ONLY Colombian player in the English Premier League. How is this off the topic of Colombia? Ninety per cent of the threads posted have less to do with Colombia than this one! OK, so the mods are not futbol fans but I guess they are fans of Colombian women because most of the threads are about chicks and they stay where they are.

Preface the story differently, "Hugo Rodallega, the only native Colombian player in the English Premier League...". It sounds like it should be a Colombian story.

I guess it's asking too much for them to actually READ the post. Or to actually know who Hugo Rodallega is.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

I agree with Utopia! Leave the story on here! And get rid of the dozens of posts about losers looking for drugs or to pick up 12-year olds in Colombia!

I agree. I just responded to it in another section.

If threads about relationships made by gringo losers who smear Colombian women can stay, then a thread about one of Colombia's best football players can stay. He's newsworthy because I can count on one hand over the last 20 years the number of times that there has been a successful Colombian in the EPL.

You know, I love American football but now I have a son playing Rugby at the collegiate level so I am a little closer to appreciating soccer or futbol. This would be one of my many areas of ignorance about South America. I have met and do like Beckham.

I was actually curious about heroin use and its availability in Colombia but my question got deleted off here. Another guy above mentions 12 year old girls and it STAYS...WTF???

Heroin use is a good question but who the hell is asking about 12 year old girls?

According to one poster PBHers are after 12 year old girls. Why would PBH want to associate itself with that?

Sorry, flatline, that was me. I love American football but am learning more about these other sports. Rugby included...since that is what my son is playing. I am sorry, not, that I don't follow soccer or (futbol) as you guys know it. My home college team is ranked number five or six and that works for me. I am learning about the others. These rugby guys are brutes...kind of like my son. I don't care, say what you will.

Simon, please reference one thread that is of the topic heroin and 12 year olds in Colombia. I know you will have no useful response. Because such a thread desn't exist.

You all are getting on my nerves...my home team is doing exceptionally well in traditional football. My own son is kicking ass in Rugby (which I have decided I do not like because they do not wear protective gear when they play). Brutal sport, I have watched my sons play football for years but not without gear. I really do not like it.

Rugby.

Dim memories of getting trampled into the winter mud. The mad heathen Yorkshire games master exhorting us to greater efforts of brutality: "Get tha elbow in him, you southern poove". Ice cold showers.

Character building.

I daresay.

I missed all of that!

Yes, it's hilarious how a thread about one of Colombia's most young and exciting football prospects succeeding in the world's best league gets deleted, and threads like this (see below) that have absolutely NOTHING to do with Colombia can stay.
