ODD... made in colUmbia

i thought this was odd.

my friend bought a IMUSA pot in Carrefour, here in Medellin the other day... last night after having eaten I looked at the bottom of the pot and it said in big letters

MADE IN COLUMBIA

is that strange or what

there are often discussion on this site about people not spelling colombia the right way and here you have a big colombian firm with a

MADE IN COLUMBIA on its pot

whats going on there

that's weird, I see that brand of cookware here in the US in some major supermarkets, but Colombia is always spelled correctly . . . . however I'll double-check it anyway when I go later today

Must be a rare error... The IMUSA "U" POT variation. It´s a collectable and according to Beckett Pots & Pans Monthly is worth around US$1000. There´s a Julia Child autographed version that shot up in value after her demise and in it´s factory sealed box commands US$10,000 on eBay. Remember to get the pot authenticated (leave Snoop Dog alone as he´s a pro on another type of pot) as many fakes have been popping up with a L.C. Tiffany signature.

A funny little true joke: My friend is really pissed at me. He´s a coin collector (numismatic or is that stamps?) and he was all thrilled and excited to show me all these old US coins he just bought. He said they were a steal at $200 for the lot where I cracked a smile and said, brother you were the one that got taken to the cleaners because you paid $200 and only got back $8.37 in coins!! He hasn´t talked to me since.
