I think I might be ready to test the waters of moving to Bogota. But first I would like to spend a year teaching. I currently teach Algebra and Geometry for 11th and 12th graders. Is there a site that posts job positions in Bogota? Or how could one find positions to teach math in Bogota? Thanks.

Lauren says on Mar 23, 2009, 17:41: FYI, In Colombia, algebra & analytic geometry are taught in 8th and 9th grades. Trigonometry & logarithms are taught in 10th grade, and differential & integral calculus in 11th (there is no 12th grade.) Get familiar with "Baldor's Algebra, which is still the preferred textbook

marlydog1812 says on Mar 23, 2009, 18:01: check out TIE(the international educator)website or goggle UNI international teaching or Search associates. These are services for international teaching. Im starting a new teaching job in Colombia in August and found it through the UNI service. Ive been teaching in Honduras at an international school the last two years. Ive been teaching for ten years mostly in the states and after my international post Ill never teach another day in the states again.
