Did you file K1 or K3 Afiidavit of support or I-134 is sent to your fiance/e (in Colombia) for him/her to take to the interview - it's one of the documents she has to gather as part of her packet 3 requirements. That's the K1 process which takes approximately 4 to 6 months from the time of filing to the interview. For K3; where you file for your wife the requirements are a little different and I think the time is a little longer than K1. Go to Visa Journey and look at people's timelines and you will get a better idea. Good luck

If he is sending his affidavit of support to the NVC, his wife is not applying for a K-3. It sounds like she is going to be applying for an immigrant visa (CR-1) in Bogota. The NVC can be slow at times but you are on the home stretch. I would expect that she'll hear from the embassy this summer.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Yes I am applying for an imagrant visa,I was wondering how long it would take from the the time the NVC recieves my documents until they are sent to Bogota, once in Bogota I know the interview date can.t br far away.

Thanks

Interview times Every month they post the interview dates here, around the end of the month - 20th or so (last one was on May 26th I think.) I expect the next one will be on June 24th http://bogota.usembassy.gov/wwwfivad.pdf
This same list has the K1, K3, CR1 - all of them I think.
A note: this current page gives couple of errors - click on 'OK' and then go to page 2 - page 1 is blank!
If you have the case number then you can check it. NVC would give you the case number once they set it up (prior to sending it to Bogota) - you may have to call them and try a few different times to get it - keep the full name/ date of birth handy for their purposes!
Good luck

You have to click OK twice Its a strange site - Even I was getting error messages - you have to click 'OK' twice and then you will see a blank page. Use the page down button to go to page 2 and you will see the information. Entiende? If still not able to see it - email me and I will try it for you again.
