Nuqui?

My girlfriend and I are planning to travel to Colombia a few weeks in December/January. We are considering going to Nuqui (on the pacific coast) as we heard it is exceptional. We have found limited information on the destination (probably a good sign). We understand, today, it is safe (in local terms). Have any of you been? What is it like? Any recommendations?

Thank you!

Fishing in the area............................................. Fishing in the area is in fact quite poor-locals have dynamited many species out of existence.

Locals are often Afro-Colombians with a strong dose of Indigenous blood.

It's a fabulous area but achingly poor.

Thanks for your replies Sounds completely secluded from modern society – just what we are looking for. I will make sure to post some pictures when we get back in January.
