Notaries Medellin

Anyone know a notaria in Medellin that is easy to deal with. My girlfriend has a 16 year old son and every notary says she has to get some paper saying her son has no assets i can take. This paper takes a long time to get and costs around a million pesos. 6 different notaries told her this. Also one notary told her i have to get a paper from the US consulate
saying they have conducted an investigation into me to see if anyone is against me getting married.
Sounds like a lot of bullshit to me. I already have my certificates of birth, singlehood,
and divorce with apostilles. It would be easier to get married in Medellin but if i have to i will go elsewhere where i know i don`t need the extra paperwork

inventario solemne is the paper the notaries requiring, if they dont ask for it, is a cause for disciplinary action against notary plus there are some serious consequences regarding the marriage.

Regarding the document from the consulate there is a way around that requirement.

A million pesos? Holy focking chit. I didn't pay that much to the attorney for my now wife to obtain her divorce. Get ready...her mama is about to get sick and need an expensive surgury!

Find another notaria, pronto!

I agree with Pappasito, Notary 29 ( 80, crossing 29) I did my apartment paperwork there. All notarized (2copies, 10 pages each) for less then 6000 pesos (YES 6 mil pesos !)

I went to Notary #5 on Calle 34 opposite Unicentro. My wife was a widow and she did have to go through some sort of process with her kids and her dead husband's share of the property. I did not find the notary difficult to deal with.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
