North Star Backpackers Hostel

Hi folks,

I just opened up a new hostel in Bocagrande. Besides the wonderful location, beautiful house, and nice staff, we offer you:

1. Friday Nights of Rum-- we provide the atmosphere, music, people, and RUM to make a memorable Friday night in Cartagena

2. Free trips to the airport: Stay three nights, and we'll take you to the airport for free

We are located next to the Chef Julian restaurant in Bocagrande. Come check us out, and submit a review :)

How many hostel owners in Colombia are you in touch with... You should really let them know you have a hostel. This is not the best place to get word out on opening a new hostel. In my view people go to 1. where there mates recommend they go or 2. where hostel owners recommend they go and then supply them with a card or 3. based on some guidebook recommendation. Oh well.. what do i know. If I were you I'd take the next six weeks of and do some serious travelling around the country. I have not seen a business card for the hostel yet. That would be a good start... It would of probably been a good idea to keep a good relationship with the other hostel owners in Getsemani which you dissed in a previous post.

well still good luck to you. only the third person to open a backpackers in Cartagena in twenty years i believe. i think, maybe

i like the last statement on your website,, ''''And we are known to be fun'''', who knows you to be fun?

what else can you tell us about yourself

good luck again, cartagena is beautiful if not very very hot and sticky

I agree. Get in touch with Paul from www.pitstophostel.com in Medellin, maybe you can work something out between you, swap flyers ect...

That would be a start. Also stop spamming the site. Geez you promote your new hostel even more so than:

Just some suggestion.

One, you need to put more pictures of your hostal on your site.

Two, your price structure is a little confusing. Clean it up.

What else can you tell us about the services you offer. Your website is very basic. The guys at Black Sheep where very helpful when I was there. Bus schedules, laundry, Wifi, beer, and conversation.

Hell the guy at Black Sheep helped me out, and I never even went there.
