North Curramba

During my latest trip to Barranquilla (got back yesterday) I spent considerable amount of time in North Curramba (NC). For those unfamiliar with Barranquilla the north is the very fast growing upscale side of town, with gringo style bars, restaurants, apt buildings etc.
What was my black ass doing there? you’re probably wondering? Well, I was purchasing a brand new taxi and most of my business transactions took part in that area
The difference between the Barranquilla I grew up and the new NC is quite shocking. Not only the structure but the people are as different as day and night.
As I sat one late weekday evening at Henry’s, in NC, listening to MargaritaVille, eating a sauté salmon on a bed of lettuce, a side order of mash potatoes, drinking sex on the beach, I find myself missing dearly my loud vallenato and eating chicacharron with a side order of bollo limpio and costeñitas down in Murrillo.
I thought to myself, hey! you ugly old modefouqe! what the fok are you doing here and where did all these fokin white barranquilleros sitting all around me come from? Who the fok are all these modefoques? I feel like a fly that has accidentally fallen on a plate of fokin milk.
By the way, I was also impressed at the number of gringos in NC.
This video best depicts the faces and spirit of the authentic Barranquilla.

It is nice to have you back Elmo ... My white ass will be in Curramba later this summer, but I'll be laying low in my wife's estrata two neighborhood, trying hard and failing miserably to fit in. I doubt I'll mingle uptown - sounds too much like the US!

Hello Elmo How was the Burdel de Burras? Mucho chancleteo?

cómo es lo de los cupos en Barranquilla? ahora vale más el cupo que el carro por lo menos en Bogotá.

...A yo, déjenme queto y no me jodan má! ...

Hey, web, wish I had more time to partake in my all time favorite activity, burra screwing but I was kept quite busy during my very short stay in curramba.
Hope your posting finally convinces some skeptics regarding the love many costeño kids have for their four legged creatures.
I’ll be back in currmba the end of the summer to check up on my latest business venture and put a down payment on my brand new stabbin cabin over looking el mar and el rio Magdalena.
Idaho, I spent considerable time in estrato 2 neighborhoods, el santuario. Where is your friend from?
Right now am a bit busy catching up with all the shit left behind for me to clean up, but in a couple weeks I'll have more time share stories of my latest trip to curramba including pissing outta my ass hole.

I'll get there, when I get there!

My wife lives in Soledad near Avenida de los Torres. I'll be spending five weeks there this summer, welcoming our new Curramberita into the world.

Any chance for a hook-up in August or September? Tour your stabbin cabin? Take a ride in your new taxi?

so elmo, should I go to north curramba? Or stick to my usual North Bogotá haunts?

To help you out, I'll tell you I am about as opposite to you as possible. They don't come whiter than me, unless they are albino. I have freckles on top of freckles. I think salsa is spanish for ketchup. When I sweat I want to go right home and jump in the shower.

I only have 1 week, where should I go?

I dunno what marranear means rubito but I'm absolutely sure I'd like it!

Looks like I will miss you again, I'm pretty sure my best time to go will be July 5 to 15.

But you could always email me some phone numbers of the marranearas!lol

I tried to look it up in my dictionary but all I could find was: marranada (a) dirty trick (b) accion grosera: hacer marranadas-to do disgusting things

I like the sounds of that better than leeching, but I'm always happy to buy new friends too.

I'd definitely look up DG. Know any way to contact him?

Pod, when you commit a marranada against... somebody, it's not something to be proud of. Basically you are screwing somebody that trusted you over. And from what I have read here from you, you are very much not that type of person.

ah ok, I get it now I just thought having one of rubito's female friends do 'disgusting things' to me sounded interesting ; )

I'll avoid wandering around Bogotá asking people to 'hazme una marranda'
