good suggestion by haddeman above. envigado is good people watching turf. straight across from the church at the park is a restaurant/bar called el paraiso. been drinking and eating there since the '80's. it's another planet from lleras. in lleras the only place worth a sit down and visit, is la casa de los cinco puertos. other than cinco puertos, you might as well stay in miami.

in the hills above sabaneta is, 'por si lo vin'. in centro de medellin is 'aqalare' and down south east of hotel nutibara is the bar of the two headed calf. all most memorable...in an odd rustic kind of way. not for the feint hearted. don't plan on seeing any of your friends there....nor, any foreigners. it's just pure colombia, stark naked.

Do you know the local name of the bar of the two headed calf dwmte? Is it on Cra 52? There are a string of bars along there I have been to and would suggest, but a bit different.

I could also suggest La Boa in Boston C 53 for drinking more than anything else.

t-shirt, to be short, 'no'. of course it has a name, but it's known for the two headed calf. if you head sw along the metro in that area, it's one of those rather dingy dives along there. actually decent enough in side and the two headed calf is above the bar. i used to seek out these strange places--during the day--when i had a break from my work and go in and have a ron or two or a coffee and ron. that place in particular i visited with some frequency. i'd be more accurate but my secretary drove me everywhere and unless going to one of my workshops or one of our subs, i was just along for the ride and telling her where, basically, i wanted to go.;

divier yet, is aqalare...it's along that same strand but going north from the area around nutibara. you can ask around.

the hardest to find is 'por si lo vin' between sabaneta and envigado along some creek in the foothills there--unless it's been torn down for another ()*&(*&^&^%$%# condo. it was so cool, very small, and the whole place was papered with money from all over the world. seudo, wanna be trafficantes used to go there and drink and jaw. never saw any semblance of violence, but it was about as far outta the way as you could get.

good luck. all of those, including cinco puertos in poblado are good drinking holes where you're guaranteed to have some privacy.

I guess that Payner meant "civilian" girls as opposed to professionals. Well, like in most countries, I guess the only way to meet them is through everyday circumstances - through friends, at work, or through the life's coincidences.
