The actual surgery cost $4.5 million including hospital and anasthesia fees, but I've also spent probably another million or so on tests, medicines and physiotherapy. Haven't actually counted, I'm scared to find out what it all adds up to!

This included everything--the hospital, Surgeon, xrays, labs the whole 9 yards. This procedure would have cost minimally $10,000 here in the USA and afterwards, the Doctor even came and talked to him on 3 different occassions to see how he was doing. Shock!!! This never would have happened here. On a simple hernia Repair, the Doc may come around once, check out the dressing and Incision and sign your discharge papers and its hasta la vista! See Ya! lpdiver says on Oct 12, 2006, 05:52: Thanks... Good information. Sounds like the knee surgury is no bargain (considering I do have insurance) but the hernia sounds like a bargain. I may do a little "shopping" on my next trip. "cook some rice!" 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
