This is a worry to me. Being a democrat and a lover of Colombia AND Latin America someone like Chavez is not a good mixture. In this case, the Dems. would be bad in the cause because I believe they will drastically cut monetary aid and leave Colombia dangling alone against a monster like Chavez. I do have to give it to the Rupublican'ts in this regard, even thought it is for their personal and private profit, and miss guided theory of the war on drugs the presence, and money, and the fear of the USA that we would retaliate against Chavez is good right now. Not sure about the future.

I don't think there's any doubt that if Colombia needed our assistance in dealing with a militarily hostile Chavez, we would be there.

I just have my doubts that Colombia would need any help.

I don't see what's the point of the march. The FARC is on its last legs anyways. I think the government actually wants to keep it going indefinitely so they can keep doing end runs around the Constitution.

Governments don't need our support, they need to be WATCHED, and fixed and CHANGED as necessary!!!

Houston is a go for Tranquility Park, 10:30 - 12 noon. Some transportation downtown is also available from Mi Pueblito restaurant on Richmond Ave.
