I had a look at this petition, for security purposes some placed only first names, others left their city blank, while another group placed their full names and location, would not completing fully be classified as a non valid petition, would there be any validity to begin with on this... how do we know this is original and who initiated, second, who's to say another seperate list of "Potential hits" cannot originate from this. If you all remember, the USG (U.S. Gov't) was handed a few years back a computer server with list of names, address, and personal information of many Americans living in Colombiab y the local Gov't. This server I believe or computer was seized during a Narco hit. From what I can remember, the Colombians could not crack the access code for entry, nor could the USG for a few months, this was how sophisticated this organization was.
This is a good start, but what is the thoughts here....

Un grupo que durante más de 43 años nos ha quitado nuestros territorios; nos ha desplazado de nuestras casas; nos ha amarrado con cadenas en la espesura de nuestra propia selva; nos ha mutilado nuestros cuerpos; ha asesinado a nuestros seres queridos; nos ha quitado a nuestros hijos y a nuestras hijas y los ha enseñado a matar en vez de defenderse con la palabra. Porque queremos una Colombia totalmente nuestra, esta movilización se dirige a rechazar las acciones violentas de las FARC.

Son las FARC las que en la actualidad insisten en generar acciones generadoras de terror entre la población y persistentemente se han negado a cesar las hostilidades haciendo oídos sordos del clamor de las y los colombianos.

3. Le ratificamos a la comunidad internacional que este grupo violento, que utiliza las armas de todo tipo en contra de ciudadanos y ciudadanas indefensos, haciéndose llamar a si mismos el ejército del pueblo, no nos representa y no son nuestro ejército.

4. La movilización del 4 de Febrero no es solo una marcha en contra del secuestro; no es solo una marcha en contra del terrorismo. Es el encuentro de todas y todos quienes rechazamos, repudiamos y condenamos las acciones de las FARC quienes durante más de 43 años han coartado nuestras libertades; han mutilado nuestros sueños; han retrasado nuestras posibilidades de desarrollo y que ahora utilizan nuestros campos y nuestras selvas, incorporando a menores de edad en sus filas, explotando a hombres y mujeres, para hacer de nuestro país su espacio de negocio para el narcotráfico.

5. Reiteramos que esta convocatoria ha partido de hombres y mujeres, que si bien tenemos ideologías múltiples, hemos acordado proponer acciones y trabajar juntos por un objetivo común: expresar nuestro rechazo tajante a todas las acciones de las FARC y construir en conjunto las soluciones porque SI queremos LIBERTAD, porque SI queremos VERDAD, porque SI queremos la VIDA, porque queremos una Colombia sin FARC.

6. Hacemos un llamado a todos y todas para que sin importar nuestro origen, raza, ideología o edad, el 4 de Febrero a las 12m. nos hagamos ver, escuchar y sentir porque somos más los que hacemos país, porque somos todas y todos quienes queremos una Colombia sin FARC.

7. De la misma forma invitamos a todas y todos a unirnos en una sola voz, a asumir esta movilización mundial liberándonos de nuestros miedos, reconociendo que esta unión entre colombianas y colombianos es la que nos permite construir a Colombia sin FARC.

8. Ratificamos que, con base en esa unión, las propuestas que como colombianos y colombianas planteemos para lograr una Colombia sin FARC, parten del consenso que va más allá de posiciones o posturas ideológicas y partidistas.

En este marco no vamos ni a favor ni en contra de las soluciones actualmente propuestas, pero si planteamos que dejen de ser soluciones polarizadas por las ideologías para pasar a ser propuestas nacidas de un proceso de conciencia colectiva con el compromiso de unión colombiana.

Dolfi, the petition was created by a person from the Facebook group that is organizing the No Mas FARC march on February 4th.

The group has explained a million times that the march is against the FARC only, due to the recent events and to gather the widest consensus possible, if such thing is even possible in Colombia. So the petition is also against the FARC only for the same exact reasons.

Many people on the group has also stated ad nauseam that an initiative against AUC/ELN/whatever would find their support, but it will have to be organized separately. Again, this is to concentrate the effort on one problem at a time.

Hope you will attend the march wherever you live.

You know, before I started getting involved with a few Colombianas and learning about this country, I really had little idea of the realities of living and working amongst, in and around guerrillas, and the magnitude of the problem.

Now, more than three years later, I have a very real perspective.
My novia has been held captive and used as a human shield while traveling for business around the pueblitos of Southern Colombia, and has relayed to me other hair-raising AND life-threatening experiences, sometimes frequently, almost always, regularly.

So, thinking back... three years ago, from a distance and with little knowledge...and knowing what I know now....I just want to say that ...

COLOMBIANS AND THOSE INVOLVED HAVE A CHANCE TO BEGIN TO RAISE THE WORLD'S AWARENESS OF THESE REALITIES WITH THESE MARCHES AND HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE AN ....IMPACT....IN BRINGING THIS BLEAK CHAPTER IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY CLOSER TO AN END.
