Don't know about these areas but my tour guide warned against an area called the "black zone" which was around Calle 60s /-. Very nasty area. Best bet is to ask once there and definetely do a drive by during the day.

my sister have been in congo and told me that the place inside looks like a beach and yes is a lot of black people but I think is because lots of reggae is play there, she wanted to take my son who loves reggae but unfortunately he is underage., I know a member from here Rykita or mykita have been there. to 7 with 49 doesn't seem dangerous to me... i don't know about dread.

Keep me updated on it, I love that kind of music and would like to try it out when I go in oct......I have been to DEJAVU and another one close to it in medellin, which although it isnt like a mangos inside and the class of people are lower, its a great time if you can get passed the marijuana smell......keep me updated on a PM if you can.

Stay away from Chapinero. That is a very unsafe area now! I recommend, zona rosa, 93 and candelaria.
