They have been taken from South to North, from the airport to Parque Tayrona.
A friend shoot them some years ago, they are not so good, but can help to understand the character of the region.

Nice to hear that. Do you live in Santa Marta, msaucey?

msaucey says on Jan 21, 2008, 14:44:

No.... I love Santa Marta as a place to visit.... I think I would pass out from the heat..... I have family in the area and there's never been an issue.... I think the closest they ever came, they were alerted and flown to Bogota for safety, but that was probably like 8 - 10 years ago....

robi666 says on Jan 21, 2008, 16:19:

msaucey, it is too long to explain it here, but SM is having one of the most difficult and saddest moment of the recent years.
I don't know about your concept of safety but SM safety is quite far from mine.
Of course I am talking from the perspective of someone living there.

Hopefully things will get better this year.

robi666 says on Jan 21, 2008, 18:25:

Anyway, alerted and flown to Bogota for safety... I am curious, and yes, it sounds scaring.

Mr. Hollywood says on Jan 21, 2008, 19:16:

I was thinking the same thing, Robi. In most places that would be a major episode in a family history, no?

robi666 says on Jan 21, 2008, 20:07:

Yes, MrH.
I think of my family alerted and flying from Rome to Milan for safety. Sounds enormous...

Absolutely!
There's a saying: "If you grow up in New York, you can go or live anywhere."
I'm not saying NY is all that, but street smart we NYers definitely are.
Where are you Rob?

The Feria is the first two weeks of August? Or the last week of July and the first of August?
I'm planning it this week and need a hotel.
Any recomendations?

robi666 says on Jan 22, 2008, 10:36:

Bombero, we have a poster on PBH with a nice hotel: www.lacasamedellin.com.

I've seen it, but it's small and I'm sure it's already taken for the feria.
But I'll ask....
Thanks

I just got off the phone with them.
They're not sure of the price!!!!!!!
