New in Bogota

Hi

I arrived in Bogota about 2 months ago to be with my Colombia girlfriend.

I'm not yet working, although ultimately will look for a job as an English teacher, so as a consequence know very few people yet...

I fancy meeting people if possible, so would like to extend an invitation to anyone in the area.

For reference I am male, 26 with dodgy Spanish

but... if you have a girlfriend, that's a head start, she'll surely introduce you to some of her friends, and start to hang out with them, or do you want to have a gang of your own?

Not an ex-marine - dont think the US guys would take a Brit...

Having the girlfriend helps, but also hinders, because I live with her and so tend to do what she does. If I had come alone then I would have been forced to find somewhere to live, therefore meeting people straight away.

jazzmonkey he was asking jarhead, the name is a common slang term for a US Marine. They will take Brits by the way, or at least they used to. My step-brother, 100% British joined the USMC, they gave him US citizenship right away. He joined the Royal Marines afterwards and later fought as a mercenary in central Africa.
