Colombia has not arrived and they will never equal the standard of living in USA or Europe.

I am reminded of the $1.50 cars and dolls that each Colombian child recieved in a poor barrio this Christmas. They were so happy. To think without this one gift they may have recieved nothing.

My three children cost me $5000 this Christmas.

There is something sickening about what I have created in the hearts of my children.

Sounds like they are not the only ones whos experiences and expectations will hinder them if they choose to become world travelers.

I saw a group of construction workers leave the building site on 24 Dec with their Christmas hampers. I am damn sure it cost less than 5000 pesos. One beer,one packet of crackers and one candy. If I was their supervisor I would have died of shame and disgust.

Actually, yes I do Lisa Zee - When the 'hype' is 'the biggest aquairo (sp)' in latin america; I expect something pretty damm good. What I suspect is, that it is the biggest '' fish complex' in sth america, is what they actually what they mean, because they have a huge building, that they call 'the aquarium', however most if it, is interactive stuff, of the type that will drive you to sleep; however the taxi driver swore black and blue that it was all 'the aquairio''.
