I need someone's help who knows colombian law. my fiance has been divorced for 6 months and we are starting the visa process to get married here. she showed me divorce papers that are signed but just told me that there's an additional document that her ex needs to sign before she can get remarried. they were married in a civil service, not a church. has anyone heard of this additional document and is it only for colombia or would it be needed to get married in usa?? i ask because ex doesnt want to sign this paper and need to know legality of divorce and if needed, what can be done to get around his not signing.
thanks.
