Need a luxury apt in Bogota for 1 year rental & have jobs openings in Bogota also

Hi all,

This is my first post on PBH. I have been using the forums for several months while planning my move to Bogota and have found it very helpful.

I have been staying at a very nice and reasonably price "Apartahotel" since I arrive 10 days ago. The staff have really made me feel at home and tried to help me with everything I have needed.

I am in the process of opening an operations center for my US Based Internet Marketing company here in Bogota, and thus will be living here for at least one-two years.

There are three areas where I could use some help if anyway has ideas:

1. I went out yesterday and saw about 10 apartments in the areas of "Rosales" "Chico" and similar areas de estato 6. I found 3 apartments that i liked and made offers on all 3 to rent for one year. All of the apartments are managed through real estate companies. I made very nice offers on all of them and they are asking me for all kinds of papers, insurance, guarantees, deposits, and for what appears to me to be very unreasonable. I have with me my incorporation papers for my business in the US, bank statements, credit card statements, passport, and birth citificate. However I refuse to jump through this many hoops for an apartment of this price even if I really like the apartments I saw. I also doubt I could come up with all of the local things they are asking for.

So.... If anyone knows of an apartment, I need to rent immediately as I don't want to continue paying daily at the hotel. I am looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom luxury apartment, furnished with contemporary design, 1 year contract, and space to setup an office with 2-3 desks in the second bedroom or another area for my assistants and myself. My budget is 1.000.000 to 2.500.000/month including common area maintenance. I have seen several nice apartments in this range that I was very impressed with.

2. I have a position open for a personal assistant. Typical PA responsibility, fluent english/spanish, establish network of diverse contacts in Bogota, lots of heavy travel around colombia and the region, and no particular office hours. Typical PA stuff. Please let me know if anyone knows a candidate for this. Salary will range between 800.000 and 1.200.000 DOE. There are tons of other benefits to this position including paid cell, laptop, travel, partying.... etc. etc.

3. I have position open for web developers/designers/programmers who will need to train in Internet Marketing. We are not a development company but we are doing so internal projects. These persons will have a dual role in development and maintaining internet marketing campaigns. Background in ASP, HTML, Javascript, Java, .NET, dreamweaver, photoshop, XML, will be helpful, but the candidates will be required to learn ColdFusion upon hiring. Candidates that already know ColdFusion will be a sure hire. Salary will range from 1.200.000 to 2.500.000 entry level, and 3.000.000+ once they have mastered ColdFusion. I have already posted an ad in the "El Tiempo" for this position but got very few responses. These persons will be working on US based projects, internal projects, and English is a plus but not required.

Any help anyone can offer in this areas would be great.
