Try a search Here First with Google, this has been discussed indepth in the recent past.

On Sept 17, 2008: Senator John McCain said, as he had many times before, that he believed the fundamentals of the economy were "strong."Hours later he backpedaled, explaining that he had meant that American workers were Strong.

Either this page or the next has the answers to your question in another thread. As far as what you CAN'T send her: You can't send pornography, firearms, used vehicles, and that's about it. Anything else within reason is fair game.

Used clothing is considered contraband. The only way to get it there is possibly by sending it in a suitcase. Plus, nothing over 20 kilos which is about 42lbs. If you are sending more than one box, do not put on the same tracking number as they will not separate the boxes if one cannot get passed customs for any reason. I had a really hard time sending stuff there and realized that with the amount it cost me to ship it I'm better off buying a plane ticket and delivering it myself....which is better anyhow!

You cannot send her any used car or truck parts - stated for a laugh, but absolutely true

I sent all my belongings through airmail when moving back to Colombia and I didnt get charged by DIAN or ever been accused of smuggling goods...So Id agree with Robert, anything you send is fair game.

Actually, I thought of one thing pertaining to clothes that "might" not be allowed. It is army or military fatigues. But used clothing in general ... not a problem in my experience. I know people who make a point to bring down used clothes and to send used clothes to family and for the disadvantaged.
