I'm taking my second trip to Colombia this month staying a week in Medellin and a week on San Andreas Island. My last trip to Medellin me and my fiancee just stayed in the city and seen the sites. This trip we want to see the outlying country side around Medellin. She mentioned Rio Negro, Guatape, and Santa Fe De Antioquia. Anybody have info on these cities or other cities near Medellin to visit? I don't think we'll have any problem finding things to do on San Andreas Island.

It's a nice little town and you can walk from there to the enormous black rock "El Peñol"/"La Piedra". Once you make it up the 700 or so steps there is an beautiful view over the surrounding lake with hundreds of inlets and islands.

Don´t forget your swimsuit because the weather is really hot but all hotels have swimming pools.
