My mother's one and only trip to Colombia

My mother is suffering from pancreas cancer and probably doesn't have too long. But she has always wanted to go with me to Colombia and we are going at the weekend, at the expense of skipping one chemo session.
We are going to some of the most amazing places in the countryside that I think some of you city dwellers who know Colombia much better than me don't know about.
I will keep you posted how it goes.

I'm sure she will enjoy her time... If you are going to Bogota, make sure you go to Monserrate, aside from being a wonderful peaceful church you can get an amazing view of the city... I'm not sure how strong she is, maybe it might be too strenous....

None the less, I send you my regards.... and enjoy your stay...

Pancreatic cancer is a terrible, terrible thing. She needs to get her affairs in order and do the stuff she has always wanted to do. Enjoy your time together, you'll always have those memories. My condolences. Please keep us posted, don't worry about missing one chemo session.

You are a great guy and GOd is going to give you back all the good things you did and will do for your mother. I lived in Colombia for 18 years and I would recommend 2 places. One is Salento and the other is Manizales. Both have cool climates so it would be suitable. The landscape in Salento is amazing with all those tall palm trees. Manizales is a small city with snowcap volcanoes in the background. Just outside the city there are hotsprings with a beautiful hotel. My parents went there and loved it. I dont know the name but I can call my mom and ask here.

Getting Better, with as many other tasteless and bickering thread and posts there is.... You can actually count on us to be here through the hard times and we would be willing to give you as much support as virtually possible... We know that these are hard times, but as Gabo has mentioned, her knowing that you are by her side and enjoying as much as she can while she can is the best medicine that she could possibly receive...

BTW, Nelhenao, the Hot Springs you refer to are the Santa Marta Termales about an hour from Manizalez...
