My lady friend in MDE's little sister 16yrs old was just robbed!

On the way to the bus to come home from school, she said it happened so fast she didnt even have time to scream. Both my girl and sister and mother are very shook up about it and the little one hasnt stopped crying, they called the police and made a report. 2 guys with knives, they got her cell phone of course and her pocket cash, 30k. Heres the kicker, she says the men were older, like in their 40's and not kids. Im bringing some strong key chain mace for her and mu lady friend next time I head over to MDE. DONT BE A STATISTIC PEOPLE.. BE VIGILANT!

And this is the second instance... this is a chat transcript from one of my buddies last week who put in her MSN little message window she was just attacked on University campus.. apparently its quite a nice university as well.

Sounds typical of Colombia. My nephew had a cell stolen and another had his sneakers stolen. But hell it happens in the US as well. I had my carjacked in the

Well thats what they told me and Im taking it with a grain of salt... My lady friends sister story sounds legit and so does my friend Juliana's, I know how these girls thrive on drama but its not like there on my PAYROLL or something or im one of their WU novios and going to get them another cellular, been going to Colombia 6 years now so I can smell BS a mile a way.. been there done that, I promise you! So I just give them some warm felt compassion whether its deserved or not and move on. I dont see any reason for them to make something like this up.. jajajaaj

I think that El Sapo is referring to a less frequently used meaning of "robar". In the Diccionario de la lengua española of the Real Academia Española, they list as the third definition:

3. tr. raptar (‖ sacar a una mujer con violencia o con engaño de la casa y potestad de sus padres o parientes).

Thanks captj I thought I was losing it completely.. I knew that meant "Robbed" I was like What the Fuck?.. and then I even looked it up in the dictionary. So i knew I was right..

robado [ro-bah’-do, dah]
article & past participle
1. Past participle of ROBAR.
2. Robbed, stolen;

In English, "robbed" is both the past participle and the past tense. Thinking about it that seems to be true for all verbs that end in the letter b- bobbed, fobbed, lobbed, mobbed, nobbed, robbed, sobbed.

I'm guessing past participles are one of the most aggravating things in English.
