Hello All,
I will be moving to Bogota soon from the UK. I will be working for a company who will get me a work permit. My girlfriend is British but the company cannot get her a visa since we are not married. We plan to be in Bogota for about 2 years. What is the best way to get her a long term visa. Its her plan to leanr spanish in the 1st year and then try to work in the 2nd year. She is also 3 months pregnant and we plan to have the baby there, so would like to know what the hospitals are like

What nationality will your baby be ? I quess I should not be asking this question but have you thought that out ? Your post makes reference to your girlfriend being British but no reference to your nationality except if you need a visa you are not Colombian. I am sure you must have thought this out but you want to make sure for your childs sake that being borne in Colombian will not leave him or her with solely a Colombian citizenship and passport when your girlfriend has the option of staying six more months in Britian and her child will be British.

If you and your girlfriend have a baby in Colombia he/she can be a born Colombian citizen also will be a british for your guys. Sorry for my english any question let me know I'll glad to help you.
