My Girlfriends parents have agreed to let us go on a vacation alone. We are planning to travel to Panama. She recently checked with a travel service and for her to travel to Panama she needs to pay $1000.00. It seems to me to be a bit expensive. Any opinions or facts would help.Thanks.

The flight is about an hour but the cost is between $325 and $500, depending on the time of year, how many seats are available, and how far in advance you are purchasing the ticket. From the US, the flight is typically between $350 and $700, again, depending on how many seats are available, time of year, and how far advanced you are buying the ticket. You can get approximate prices at two sites:
