Missing Colombia Most Colombianas go through a hard time initially.They miss their family and friends.And depending on where she moved to it can be VERY different.Even in California where I took my ex wife,she missed all the activity as well as her friends and family.And there were lots of latins around.Once she met enough spanish speaking people she was OK with it.And the weather is pretty good there.
England?Might be just slightly better than North Dakota as a place to take her.I presume you tried to warn her.She will adapt or she will keep wanting to return.
I hope you have a REAL GOOD relationship.It will be tested very hard.
I know a Colombiana that moved to the Oklahoma panhandle with her new husband.They have a good relationship and she has adapted well.She did speak good english,that helped her fit in.

Your wife wants to move and the frequency in your case is 100%. Determining an average might be interesting but not relevant.

If it was me I’d buy her a ticket and send her $200.00 U.S. Dollars per month and let her live with her relatives. The only reason you would do this is because you love her and want her to be happy.

I’ve found this approach works a majority of the time with almost any perceived problem.

Seeking a professional medical diagnosis is the only other option. Could be she is not depressed,, just crazy.

Realistically, try to emotionally separate yourself and make a clear headed observation. What do you see ?

Be Alert Well 99% of the time I have seen this happen is because the Colombiana has someone else and she misses him, usually they start to travel to Colombia for 1 month and then they will extend to 6 months and then longer, I have a friend that recently had this problem, he has been 12 years with her. It was her mindset from the get go - trying to better her life for the sake of her family and her as well. She did the mail order bride type of thing the hi-tech way - you did as well - meaning that you knew before sending your first email to your now wife, the chick with the address in Cali or Bogota, that the only way this was going to work was if she ended up moving to you.

Both of you knew before ever meeting that she was going to relocate to your country. Big visa process for many, many months allowed her time to think about her decision. I know things are different once she actually arrives for the first time in your country, but she knew what she was getting into many weeks before meeting you on that website - before she replies to that email from the guy with the address in England.

So is she going to abandon you? Probably not. Is she homesick? Who wouldn't be? It's not likely that most gringos on this board past present or future (the mail order bride guys) would be willing to, at 45-55 years of age, drop their jobs, lives and whatnot up here to relocate to Colombia, or Venezuela, or Thailand. It's just not the right time in their lives for that, although many will tell you how they were real ready to move to Colombia, but it was decided at the last minute to live up here. Oh yeah.

Now that it has been four years she likes Jersey more than I do. In fact Jersey is killing me and I never liked it. Just tell your wife to hang it their and be VERY GLAD that she does not live in NEW JERSEY. And do not move to Queens or Jersey, because both of you will hate it.

wasteland the English have had bad press for it's cuisine (or lack of), but things have changed drastically....I would say that we are fast losing that culinary challenged tag that was merited way back.
Pizza is not an English or Colombian thing so you can excuse both the Brits and the Colombians for not quite making the grade, however for the people in the know there are a few spots in London that would certainly make a decent pizza....mind you I always loved the Colombian hawaiian pizza, but then again I'm an easily pleased simpleton!
