Multiple profile posting?

What exactly is the official policy on the same person posting her under multiple handles.

It seems that at one point it was known but not addressed.

I seem to recall at some point the moderators stating that known multiple accounts would be deleted.

Yet several of our old timers are known to post under multiple handles and nothing is done.

The standard policy is as Kat stated. Lots of oldtimers here have been asked to choose. Left and right and in the middle. There are some "abandoned" handles, not have been used for several years that we haven't deleted, the owner has been posting for a long time with the new handle and just abandoned the only one and since it's not being used simultaneously it does not interfere with the usability of the forum.

Flag and report any newbies who seem to know too much:) It's also possible that some people who have been readers suddenly decide to sign up and , not every knowledgeable newbie HAVE to be a troll or multiple handle.

No, if he were to use both handles, like having Rocinante talk to Dulcinea THEN I would say stop trolling and make a choice!

Also, as far as I'm concerned, Rubito kicked himself out and severed the communication between the mods and himself.

I suppose that you could call me a "medium-timer" because I have been reading posts on this site for about a year. With certain people one can semi-predict what they are going to say/how they are going to react to certain situations by their past posts.
If I personally appear to be a voyeur by stating this, I apologise but on several past occasions I tried to sign up but could not for what ever reason. It is a fine site and there are people out there who are extremely co-operative and they should be appreciated.

The newbie could not have known that I had to create a security copy of my original handle when there was a bug and I lost my handle and 5 years worth of posting in a fraction of the second. Peter was kind enough to restore my handle and my posts.
