World Cup Hero says on Jun 23, 2004, 14:50: Q & A A private Colombian school in the northern part of Bogota. School locates and provides for us an apartment. Coming from North Carolina, basic and limited Spanish but school offers lessons. Give us some advice...experienced travellers but never to South America.

Mr. Hollywood says on Jun 24, 2004, 07:28: You'll have a great time The north of Bogota is a very big place but some things to check out are the weekend street market scene in Usaquen, the nightlife of the Zona Rosa, take a day trip up to La Calera for horse riding and country atmosphere. Then take a cab or bus down to the center of town and wander La Candelaria (old colonial zone) for great old restaurants and cafes, museums (like the Botero collection), little art stores, etc. Chapinero and Macarana neighborhoods are also really cool for going out to eat and wandering about.
