Movin to Colombia - Bogota

Dear Friends,

I am brasi a Fashion designer exporting textiles from far east to Latin America.I have been livin in China for last 5 yrs and from next month i will be moving permnently to Bogota.I am trying to get as much information about life style in Bogota and good safe nice place where can take apartment and office.

My apartment, Fooding, Taxi, Mobile etc. all is company paid and 2500 USD$ salary per month.I would like to have comments that with the above mentioned a single guy can live decent elegant life style in Bogota??

Thanx for ur advise.Right now i am in China and soon will be flyin to paris.I will come to Bogota next month and stay in a hotel for 2/3 weeks and would take service of some real estate consultancy and rent office and my apartment as well.Yeah, as u suggest i will definieately take office n apartment in close proximity.

And Pls advise if a single guy can live elegentaly at 2500 USD$ a month while apartment, fooding, taxi, mobile, utilities etc are company paid??

Well, itll be hard to find a place that you would think its safe in bogota. But as far as what you are making that is good, most things are cheap in colombia. As long as you can speak spanish youll be alright, colombia isnt a place for the shy or nervous person to move to. But enjoy yourself and visit monserrate sometime!

I dont think theres a city on earth that doesnt permit you to live elegantly if all of your housing, transportation, communication and needs are all paid for and to be getting 2500 US on top of that. I smells trolls also..
