Moto trip and favorite place after two months on moto

Hello all...marlydog has been under the weather and hasnt posted his greatly anticipated moto trip reports..

Ended up doing sorta of a box around Colombia
Started in Bogota-Bucaramanga-Santa Marta-Cartegena-Sincerejo-Medellin
back to Bogota then onwards to my new home in La Guajira

By far my favorite road has been from Riohace to Santa Marta....gorgeous at a few parts
From Sincerejo to Medellin is a great ride to. From Medellin to Bogota I thought I was going to die, but it was a fun ride. I liked the ride from Valledupar to La Guajira a lot.

My favorite place Ive been to is a hotel called Casa Grande about 5 miles East of the park entrance to Tayrona. Unreal beach and facility for about 50,000. Great food and is the best beach Ive ever been to in Latin America.

Minca also is a great place to visit if you like things quiet.

Medellin is great but the ladies are quite unattractive so dont go there.

I know Im probably spelling it wrong but Sincerejo was a pleaseant surprise. I was trapped there with a few problems and stayed three days but for some reason really liked the town.

After two long visits Ive fallen in love with Bogota. I like cold weather, have made great friends, and it reminds me of home so I enjoy it there.

I HATE Rodadero with a passion. I guess for a few days its fun, but I guess Colombia cant be perfect it needs a lame beach town for highrise tourist.

Valledupar is really cool. I love the music and the people were really nice....

I bought my moto from the Kawa dealer in Bogota. Easy process registered in my name
KTM dealer in Bogota has good selection of gear...

I would give Colombia an A plus but Rodadero and the gas station that sold me gas that was really aqua takes it down to a A....but a strong A

Anyone with a moto and has any hotel or road questions please ask
adios

No problem Web....

Forgot to add...the people in every part of Colombia are amazing. Im shocked at how many people helped me, directed me, even sheltered me, and have giving me the coat off their back. I think Colombians are special people and Im very happy to have made my new home here for that very reason.

Also want to add that after spending about 9 grand for a used moto I could have gotten for 5 back home new....the greatest
joy Ive had on my moto trips is flying through the free toll booth....saving 3 bucks...Ill make it back one trip at a time

which city in La Guajira are you choosing to be your home? Only curious because I have not been that far north other than the bus ride from Venezuela.
