Most dangerous barrio in Cali?

Just curious, which barrio IS the most dangerous? NOT poorest,(even tho that can go hand in hand.) Basically, which barrio will a taxi driver absolutely refuse to take you too.

You´d have to have better research skills than I to find them but there have been various articles on the theme in El Pais. One showed some interesting city wide crime statistics for example that La Flora where Chipichape is located was a pretty high crime area. However taxi drivers will still take you there...There was another showing the locations of organized street gangs.

Of course it is Frank. I used to live there. Point is in the actual crime statistics for all the barrios in Cali La Flora came out quite high which makes sense. Where you gonna go to break in to nice houses and rob nice cars, Terron Colorado?

I have been to a barrio that a taxi driver refused to drive into in Bogota. It was a part of Portal in deep south Bogota. And I know there are barrios much more dangerous than it in Bogota.

Siloe is notorious in Cali.
Taxis can´t get into the Barrio as there´s hardly any roads, and they would probably insist on dropping you off on the outskirts anyway. The police have to patrol on foot, in sections of 8 men, armed to the teeth, ballistic vests, helmets, rifles, the works. I once saw the military police going in there with a helicopter hovering over them.
Other than Siloe it has to be the Aguablanca district as mentioned above.

Leave the big stick at home...carry a cannon!
