Need to stay at a cheap place, where I can safely leave my luggage without worrying that someone will likely steal it. Hotel Las Vegas was suggested. --Please, provide any more information on this hotel which supposedly costs $22/night or others near this price.
--Will a taxi from the airport be able to find this hotel by just mentioning Hotel Las Vegas in El Centro?

A better bet, IMHO, would be the Hotel San Felipe in the same area. It is on Avenida del Centenario in the La Matuna neighborhood. Bluesdude says on May 21, 2008, 09:22: Hotel Centro nearby is not a bad place for a little more dough. Hotel Las Vegas is right across from the University. Not too bad of an area - but I wouldn't go walking around late at night. And yes, it doubles as a love motel, especially when the naval or coast guard ships are in town.
