A while ago I wrote about another man trying the same thing along the coast at Santa Marta, although woefully unprepared and ill informed. His blog stops ominously mid journey, I have found others travel blogs about Colombia doing the same and I have always feared the worse. However on another Colombian forum he stated that he just got fed up with writing his blog, so now we know:
