I've used Moneygram before. Just call their number and explain the problem. Most of the time they will fix it. I was in Cali over the holidays. I had sent my novia some money earlier in Dec. Then when I was getting ready to leave Cali. Like the weekend before. I plugged into my bank. Someone from emoneygram was hacking money out of my bank account, through emoneygram. Had to cancel my two bank cards. What a frigging hassle to get out of Cali. Had a few thousand in there that I could'nt use. Got back to the states. Took two days to put the money back in my account. Turns out it had to be someone from emoneygram. Now emoneygram would not tell me any info. But they did have to deal with the US cops. My bank just returned the charges back to emoneygram. Another way is with Cashpin, and Ikobo debit card. That way you just deposit the money into an account with Ikobo. They send you friend a debit card good with that account. Then they can use any ATM machine. I have sent a lot of money with Western union but they have a hard on for me now. Say I don't have the right phone number, or something like that. I believe Cash pin or Ikobo is cheaper than Western union anyway. My novia had a preferred card with Western union. She said she could just go to the head of another line and not stand in line. Hope this helps.

Miguel_Clavo says on Mar 26, 2007, 23:44: Problem i had with Western Union is that they tell you there will not be any fees or deductions when the money is picked up in Colombia, if you are paying the fees up front and in US currency when you send the money. i have sent money to my manager in CTG in person at WU and online via their website, and each time she had fees deducted when she recieved the money.....WU claims they dont do that, which is pure BS cause the manager sent me the reciept which showed the deduction....so, i dont use WU anymore.....liars! Buongone says on Mar 27, 2007, 01:26: Hacking Emoneygram did not do shit. They told me to contact my bank. I told them to cancel my profile. After someone hacked ovr 3K out of my checking account. debit card and credit card, both. So here I was wanting to get some money out of my account. To give some to my novia, and for expenses on the flight and such. Had a hassle getting money on a Sunday. But things worked out. Emoneygram would not tell me shit. Now you have to go through a secure line to get through my visa check at my bank. So after talking with different resources, it was kind of generally determined that someone at emoneygram was hacking into it's clients accounts. Now I've spoken with WU also about hackers/fraud. Every Money Institution has them kind of problems. So when I go remote to work, I had to do all my money transactions online with WU. Sometimes they ask for a telephone number to call you back and one time I gave them my number at work. They said that would not work. Got all pissed at me. So now when I go into their system, they just cut to it. And say it's not available online. Yet I've went downtown to the village. I work in Alaska, and send the money ovr the counter at the lg grocery store. I have ovr 60 transactions with these yay-ho's and they treat me like that. It's all for security and all that, but they should have something in place for repeat customers. So that's why I went with Ikobo and Cashpin.

Too big a hassle for them. But the Amex Travel Agency in Cali, told us to go through the Bank of Colombia. We went to the bank, they said they had taken ovr for the Amex purposes. You can only cash one check a month through Amex, per card. I used to do that alot in Cabo. It just another source. I believe it's all through Colombia.

If it's going to happen to someone, It's going to be me !! Nick Danger!! See It never happens to you. I've only used moneygram 6 times in 2 yrs. And then to top it all off. I'm on vacation in Cali just about to come home, and the shit happens.
